Yamanaka-nuri lacquerware is made in the Yamanaka Onsen region of Kaga, Ishikawa, Japan. Yamanaka-nuri can be traced back to the late 16th century. The Red bowl is a dishwasher product but will last longer if it is gently hand washed by using a soapy wet cloth. Not for use in microwave or conventional ovens.
